Amey and specialist property company Arrowcroft have formally
announced their outsourcing joint venture as reported on i-FM last year
(see News story).
The new jv company Amcroft will deliver management services to clients
with large property estates operating on a fee and shared reward basis.
Both Amey and Arrowcroft are members of the Foresite consortium bidding
to take on the BBC's property portfolio (see
News story).
Nicholas Hai, chief executive of Arrowcroft said: "This is an exciting
development for Arrowcroft and formalises a long-standing working relationship
with Amey. Focusing both companies strengths through Amcroft will
sharpen our proposition still further and will ultimately drive benefits
through to our clients."
Amcroft will target corporate and public sector organisations looking
for innovative property solutions. The company already has six corporates
and a number of PFI-style tenders on its target list, said John Robinson,
MD of Amey Technology Services into which Amcroft will fit.
We are delighted to have formalised the existing and long-term
relationship that we have with Arrowcroft with the formation of Amcroft.
The new venture has been engineered to target businesses and projects
where the strengths of its parents can add value to property asset bases
whatever form they take," said Robinson, "Clients will benefit
from a single point of contact that covers all aspects of property development,
facilities and estate management and behind that point is a company
equipped with the skills, experience, financial strength and extensive
resources to implement the next generation of intelligent property solutions.
