US Airways has chosen to consolidate its European reservations
function in Liverpool at Silk House Court, Tithebarn Street, Liverpool,
and has appointed Claremont Business Environments to create a dynamic,
innovative interior for around 150 reservations agents and office staff.
The 1,400 sq m (15,000 sq/t) office will include state-of-the-art training
rooms for reservations personnel assigned to the centre.
The new call centre is due to open fully in the autumn and will handle
reservations, ticketing, flight status inquiries and telemarketing calls
within Europe. Manchester recently became the airlines seventh European
destination offering daily non-stop service to Philadelphia.
The facility is being designed to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable
work environment that will be recognised as a model call centre throughout
the region. Ann Clarke, design director at Claremont said: "We are
delighted to be involved in this project which is bringing much needed
investment to Liverpool.
