Two American software developers have joined forces to form a new company,
now targeting the construction industry on a global basis.
Cephren has been formed through the merger of Blueline Online, a provider
of internet-based project collaboration services, and eBricks.com, an
e-commerce specialist focusing on building product and equipment procurement.
Construction, the new company argues, is an industry waiting for improved
integration, to control costs, raise standards and deliver better outcomes.
Bringing the project and procurement processes closer together, on an
accessible internet platform, is the logical next step.
Support for this view comes from some big names already using the partners'
software in various countries, adding up to a current construction value
of over $40bn. Clients include architects, project managers, engineers
and utility companies.
