Steve
Lee, a main board director of Citex
and the man who took the Bucknall Group private through the buy-in-management-buy-out
(or BIMBO) which created Citex in 1998, is to leave the company at the
end of this month.
Lee will move to Brixton Investments Ltd, the main operating company
of Brixton Estate plc, to head Customer Services Management and will
work in tandem with Brixton's existing property and asset management
team.
He will work alongside Peter Dawson, who remains responsible for the
investment portfolio, Mike Andrews, who co-ordinates the joint ventures,
and Chris Sheedy whose prime role is project management. Lee will also
join them on Brixton's Executive Management Committee.
The four in-house property management professionals will continue to
report to Dawson and Andrews. Steve Lee will co-ordinate the organisation
of a fully integrated customer services and contracts management team
charged with providing a range of additional offerings to Brixton's
700 tenants.
Brixton specialises in the south-east England industrial, warehouse
and business space markets. It owns around 1.2m sq m (13m sq ft) of
industrial and warehouse space. worth more than £1,200 million
of its total £1,400 million portfolio.
Both companies are presenting the move as a continuation of a relationship
which dates from 1985. Citex is one of Brixton's prime consultants on
project management, development and quantity surveying.
