MacLellan has commenced the mobilisation of 1,500 staff
as part of its contract with STEPS winner Mapeley (see
News story) an agreement which includes the transfer of ownership
and management of some 700 Inland Revenue buildings into the private
sector, including those of the Valuation Office Agency and Customs &
Excise.
Integrated facilities management provider MacLellan is responsible for
300 facilities, serving 40,000 Customs & Excise and Inland Revenue
staff. Together with Mapeley, the company will also provide services
such as M&E, ground and garden maintenance, cleaning, security,
catering and relocation.
