PHS
adds another company to its list
PHS group,
the acquisitive supplier of washroom services, has announced a further
three purchases. This raises the group's investment expenditure to
over £15 million this year, with a total of eight acquisitions.
The three
most recent purchases are washroom and mat services supplier Shield Systems,
The Washroom Company, and All Clear (UK), a specialist in clinical waste
disposal.
All Clear,
with a turnover of £2.5 million, is looked upon by PHS as a major
move forward taking the group into the growing sector of nursing homes
and day care centre waste disposal.
PHS group
chief executive Peter Cohen said: "Our acquisition of All Clear is
a significant evolution for the company and is a strategic move to strengthen
the services that we offer our customers."
Shield Systems
looks to boost PHS's market share in the East Midlands area where the
work is being transferred to the current PHS group depots in Huntingdon,
Brackley and Coventry.
"Our
long term strategy is profitable growth," says Cohen. "We are
constantly looking for successful companies of varying sizes, whose activities
complement our own. We view these three acquisitions as another significant
step forward in our plans to grow and maintain our position as the best
in the industry."
