Building & Property announces a forward order book of
nearly £2bn. The company has won a number of contracts during the
first half of 2000 and experienced an increase in fee income from new
business, exceeding 100%, during 1999/2000.
Clive Groom, chief executive says B&P is delighted with its forward
book which he says is testimony to the success of the companys strategy.
He adds that it is B&Ps innovative and flexible approach, coupled
with its sensible attitude to risk, which has positioned B&P as one
of the leading players in the FM field.
Since the management buy-out three years ago, B&P has been transformed
from a single-client property management business to an integrated FM
company with client portfolios in both the public and private sector.
The company recently won a contract with the Office of National Statistics
for which it is to provide FM services at seven ONS sites (see
News story).
B&P is also part of the consortium which will design, finance, build
and operate the new PFI UCLH hospital site in London and has been selected
as preferred bidder for another PFI project worth £1bn on behalf
of the Dudley Group of Hospitals.
