Building & Property has gained a £6.25m contract with The Trustees
of St Genevieves School in Northern Ireland.
B&P will provide facilities management services such as building,
grounds and M&E maintenance, catering, cleaning, post distribution,
security and waste management and a help-desk over 25 years.
The school is to be constructed under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI)
with B&P as an investor alongside partners OHare McGoven and
the Bank of Scotland. All PFI projects have a performance regime in order
to ensure that the quality and standards of the services are met at all
times.
The building is to be completed by February 2001. Clive Groom, chief executive
of B&P, says that the company has also been involved in the design
process and the input during this stage has focused on operations and
maintenance. He says this will enable B&P to introduce new and more
efficient methods of working at an early stage of the contract.
