Provider of student and key worker accommodation services,
UNITE, has acquired two new student accommodation centres in Sheffield
and Plymouth for £7.8m. The schemes are expected to be valued at
£11m on completion.
The centre in Wellington Street, Sheffield, which is located
near the University of Sheffield and Hallam University includes 319 beds
in 63 flats. Apart from bedrooms, kitchens and lounge areas, a retail
unit and an on-site laundrette will be managed by the UNITE facilities
management team. St Teresa in Plymouth, by Plymouth University Campus,
has 113 beds.
Nick Porte, chief executive of UNITE, said: "UNITEs
quality accommodation, comprehensive facilities management and customer
services for students are rapidly becoming available across the length
and breadth of the UK."
