Skanska has launched facilities management services in Finland
based on models developed by the Skanska Group, which will be supplied
by Skanska Facility Management Oy.
The companys aim is to offer clients the opportunity to concentrate
on their core business and to safeguard good returns on its customers'
invested capital. Skanska wants to ensure users of the facilities a steady
cost level and an attractive operating environment.
Skanska says its Finnish FM services will use IT technology to collect
extensive and systematic information on the activities needed during the
life cycle of buildings. Skanska plans to use the knowledge and experience
gained in the early phases of the construction chain to enable it to further
improve and develop its services.
The company believes that assuming responsibility for facilities management
is a natural complement to its service chain as part of the life cycle
concept.
