What's the price of an empty desk?

Regus calculates that the average cost of maintaining a workstation is about £46 a day. This takes into account all servicing plus the cost of floorspace. The burden becomes serious, says the business space specialist, when that workstation is unused.

With the average employee away from work for a month, given holidays and some illness, companies as small as ten people could have the equivalent of one desk free all year.

For Regus, the solution is obvious - the business centre.
