Industry update: contract wins
Citex Asia has teamed up with Vigers to land a multi-million
pound contract for FM services at Cable & Wireless Hong Kong Telecom.
Included are repairs, maintenance, alterations and additions to most of
the client's properties, as well as the provision of services to other
tenants in those properties.
Citex will take on a team of 30 managers, in addition to its existing
150 staff, in support of C&W's intention to focus more closely on core
business.
Closer to home, Johnson Controls has already started work, following
the award of a £2M three-year contract at BP Amoco's Sullom Voe Terminal
in the Shetlands. On this 1000-acre site, Johnson is providing building
maintenance, cleaning, fleet management and catering services, as well
as managing employee housing stock.
BP Amoco appointed Johnson Controls for FM service at its Grangemouth
site last year.
Shell Services International has awarded Pall Mall a three-year
contract renewal for cleaning and support services at the London Shell
Centre. Pall Mall has been on this site for 12 years, winning out through
three competitive tenders.
