(L to R) TWFM's project manger Ian Elderton, customer director Richard
Sykes, alongside Lex Service's group facilities manager, Pauline Standeven.
Taylor Woodrow Facilities Management (TWFM) has been awarded
a major contract by business and motoring group Lex Service, to manage
a significant portion of its UK properties. The contract is expected to
evolve into a performance-based FM service to more than 450 premises over
a three-year term.
Initially, TWFM's role will be that of managing agent across some 50 offices
- nine of Lex's corporate centres and the RAC's 41 facilities but
it is expected to expand to encompass the groups nation-wide chain
of BSM shops and other Lex facilities. As part of the contract TWFM will
manage M&E, building fabric, vending, security, horticulture, grounds
maintenance, cleaning and office supplies.
Commenting on the award, TWFM's divisional director Tim Peach said: "This
contract consolidates our position as a leading provider of comprehensive
facilities management services. Calling on the support, skills and resources
of other TW group companies, we successfully demonstrated to Lex an understanding
of their key business drivers and our ability to deliver an innovative
service."
Taylor Woodrow Facilities Management, part of Taylor Woodrow plc, has
a turnover of some £50m, employing over 300 service providers. Clients
include Shell UK, BT Cellnet, the Inland Revenue and the MoD.
