Glasgow FM centre to move | |||
Rumours are rife in FM circles that the renowned Centre for Facilities Management (CFM), based at Strathclyde Graduate School of Business in Glasgow, is planning to move. It is believed that Keith Alexander, founding member and director of the Centre, has been offered a position at Salford University and may take the Centre with him. The Centre for Facilities Management was established at the University of Strathclyde in 1991 and merged its operations with the business school three years later. If the rumours are true the move could affect plans for the World Workplace Europe conference and exhibition to be held in Glasgow this June. The Centre is to be the host for the event. i-FM was unable to confirm the story last week. Richard Byatt
