After the appointment of President and CEO Edward Lyons
(see news on 7th June), Trammell Crow Savills
(TCS) says it is now set to expand into the European outsourcing market.
As i-FM has previously reported, Trammell Crow Savills is the joint venture
between Trammell Crow, FPDSavills and is incorporating FM division Trigon.
TCS claims that Europe is the next choice for many US-based multi-nationals,
used to working across large geographical areas and national borders and
the UK is a natural choice as a base from where to roll out operations
across Europe. They claim that most business and functions are increasingly
now being managed across these markets by multinationals for reason of
control, efficiency and economy, and facilities management is set to follow
this model.
The introduction of the Euro and moves towards integration will accelerate
the trend towards pan-European outsourcing, while single currency provides
greater cost transparency making the comparison of business costs much
easier, say TCS.
Trammell Crow Savills are currently exhibiting at World Workplace, with
Richard Buckley, MD of FM services at Trammell Crow Savills, leading an
educational tour on healthy workplaces today. He will stress the role
played by facilities management in maintaining environmental conditions
and improving workplace comfort.
