Glasgow will be the hub of the FM world this weekend as
up to 1,000 facilities management professionals gather for World
Workplace Europe, which runs until Tuesday 13th June. This unique
event, organised jointly by the International Facility Management Association
(IFMA), the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) the Centre
for Facilities Management (CFM) and the EuroFM network, includes a conference,
exhibition, debates, educational tours, social programme and an awards
ceremony.
World Workplace opens with a keynote address from Andrew Neil, publisher
with Press Holdings and Editor-in-chief of both the Scotsman and Sunday
Business. Over 36 sessions are organised around 3 tracks - Performance,
Progress and Policy allowing attendees to take a personal route
through the programme. Interactive sessions and forums hosted by EuroFM
will maximise participation.
Key topics include contract management, e-commerce, benchmarking, PFI,
healthy workplaces, office design and the intelligent customer. i-FM is
a media partner to the event and is hosting linked topics on the Discussion
Forum.
The exhibition, with over 45 stands, will showcase FM service providers
and consultants, software suppliers, furniture and technology companies
as well as publications, other information providers and professional
bodies.
