Euricas managing director Fred Guscott has been made
the first chairman of the RICS FM faculty. The 7,000 member FM organisation
was formed earlier this month after the RICS went through a major restructuring
as part of its Agenda for Change.
Guscott
was elected as chairman at the faculty board in December last year. A
founder and director of FM company Eurica, he has extensive experience
of the FM industry - both of user requirements and contractor pressures.
Commenting on the appointment, Guscott said: "The RICS
is well positioned, with the formation of the FM faculty, to take on a
leadership role within the facilities management profession. I am delighted
that the RICS has embraced the FM profession and it is great news that
so many members have joined."
