Gren Collings (pictured above) was nominated for his leadership of a large
team responsible for over 8,000 properties, where business performance
relies heavily on real estate. He was described as having, "in real estate
terms stopped and then turned a super tanker round in a very tight circle."
Previous winners of the CREE Award have been Ray Carneiro
of Citibank, Nick Schroeder for his work at Xerox and BT's Alan White.
BT's Office of the Future project was nominated for trialling
new office furniture and networking systems which have the potential to
change our working culture as much as our working practice. Cordless and
wireless technology are tested under working conditions at BT's Prospect
West offices.
