ABB Steward Ltd has won the Gunwharf Quays mechanical, electrical and public health services contract, worth over £10 million. Gunwharf Quays is the flagship £150 million shopping, leisure and residential waterfront in Portsmouth being developed by The Berkley Group, the UK property developer.

The Berkley Waterfront Company Ltd, a joint venture between The Berkley Group plc and Lordland Property Holdings cc of South Africa, awarded the contract. Lordland has previously been involved in the transformation and regeneration of Cape Town's Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Gunwharf Quays, situated at the entrance of Portsmouth Harbour, aims to become the UK's premier waterfront development and an international destination for leisure and specialist retailing when it opens this summer.
