Trillium,
the self-styled 'total property outsourcing company' has got its own house
in order by securing an 18 year lease on its central London headquarters
and taking on the management of services.
Recently acquired by Land Securities (see
News story) Trillium has completed an over-riding lease from the Corporation
of London on Bastion House, EC2 which it has occupied since 1997.
The lease, which runs to March 2018, comprises all 7,500 sq m (81,000
sq ft) of the 13 storey office building, eight floors of which are currently
vacant. Trillium occupies the top five floors comprising around 2,800
sq m (31,000 sq ft).
Trillium will undertake an extensive internal refurbishment of the entire
property including a complete refit of both reception areas, common parts
and services at a cost of £5 million. Insignia Richard Ellis will
market the vacant floors which are expected to be available for occupation
from June 2001.
As part of the deal, Trillium will take over the management of the property
and deliver facilities management services to the adjoining Museum of
London.
