Johnson Controls one of world's 100 best-managed companies

Johnson Controls has been selected for the fifth annual list of the 100 Best Managed Companies, published by US magazine Industry Week. Johnson Controls is one of only 36 companies that have appeared on the 100 Best Managed Companies list for all five years.

Candidates for the list were culled from the Industry Week 1000, a list of the world's largest publicly held manufacturing companies based on revenues. Johnson Controls was selected after an evaluation of financial performance and practice in areas such as philanthropy and safety, and voting by a panel of more than 90 business leaders, analysts, and academicians.

"We're pleased to be named once again in the Industry Week 100 Best Managed Companies list, which validates our focus on ensuring customer satisfaction as a key factor to continued success," said James H. Keyes, chairman and chief executive officer of Johnson Controls.

"Industry Week's 100 Best-Managed Companies are the world's leaders in innovative management strategies," says John Brandt, publisher and editor-in-chief of IW. "Their emphasis on long-term growth makes them models for every corporation."
