AMEC has secured a building services maintenance contract
for Direct Line, one of the UK's top insurance companies.
The three-year contract, worth over £500,000, is
to provide site services to Direct Lines portfolio of buildings
across the UK, covering Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham
and London. AMEC is providing a resident team of engineers to carry out
the maintenance of mechanical and electrical services on 13 buildings
totalling about 50,000-sq. m.
The Direct Line contract, which began last month, is one of a series of
facilities management awards secured by AMEC this year. In February, Warner
Village Cinemas awarded AMEC a three-year building services maintenance
contract, which i-FM reported on (see news 10th March).
