|  IoD sets out its commitment to the future of e-business
  The Institute of Directors has recruited Jim Norton, formerly head of 
        the Cabinet Office e-commerce team, to lead its own e-business awareness 
        and training initiatives.  Director General George Cox explained: "It is impossible to overstate 
        the importance of the move to e-commerce, or to put it more widely, e-business. 
        It embodies both opportunities and threats for every business, both large 
        and small."  The IoD now plans a strategy encompassing: 
         workshops, seminars and publications to educate members research into opportunities and applications  extension of e-business principles to its own services.  Prior to joining the Cabinet Office performance and innovation unit, 
        Norton was chief executive at the Radiocommunications Agency. He shares 
        an IT background with Cox, who was previously chairman and MD of the European
