Immediately available Data centre maintenance engineer ?34,000 basic salary

One of the foremost HVAC and Critical Environment Providers in the UK are looking to recruit a Shift engineer for a Prestigious and award-winning Data Centre in the Croydon area that is in the final phase of an upgrade doubling its foot print. The location of the Data Centre will suit candidates tired of the commute into the City. The client, a company rapidly expanding in the Financial and Critical sectors, are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer looking to join a technically strong team.

Prospective candidates will have an electrical or Power Engineering apprenticeship, with at least 3-5 years in a Critical Environment, ideally from a Tier 1 Data Centre. Will need to be able to plan works, liaise with sub-contractors and the customer.

Systems experience will include; HV Switching & Switchgear Maintenance, Permits to Work, writing of Switching Schedules, Generators, Data Floors, Chilled Beam, CRAC units & Chilled Water Plant, UPS (Both Static & Rotary), Transformers, Downflow Units, etc.
